The Broken Blade of Ton-Lin

I've been really busy so here is a random scene from a novel I'm working on.



He lifted the hilt that had no blade, it was golden like he remembered but had no gems upon it. As he held it within his closed hands he felt the pure energy flow throughout his body. He had never felt power like this, it was as if Adonai had come from the heavens and held onto him, filling him with the pure chi of the universe. He couldn't hold in his scream anymore and it exploded from his mouth as a blade of purple jets from the hilt.

As the blade became a thick cutlass of purple flames the energy flowed throughout him, even stronger if that was possible. He screamed louder and held his head back as golden wings of fiery chi erupted from his shoulder blades. They nearly filled the sky when his companion saw him from a distance. He couldn't handle the chi flowing through him, he was going to explode. He finally stifled his screams because they had done nothing to help.

But his body didn't explode, around him he was enveloped in a golden armor that shinned with the glow from his wings and the blade. He pulled the blade over his head and he saw the member of the Moonlight Syndicate. He was about to show this thing what righteous justice was. He felt the power of his ancestor the mighty angel Ton-Lin. He had never known he had angel blood within him but when he touched the golden hilt he was then filled with the knowledge. Others had touched the blade with no effect, so when a being with the blood of Ton-Lin had touched the blade it had awoken from it's sleep of thousands upon thousands of years.

His body tingled but not like the normal tingle from his every day flow of chi, this tingle was much stronger and he felt immortal. He wasn't but he sure felt like it. He let out one final scream as he charged at the demons around him. He began to swing wildly, each strike hit and turned a demon to dust. His golden wings flapped as he flew around, slicing demons left and right. With one final swirl he sliced four demons in two and stopped, his blade of fire dissapated with his golden Chi wings and he was back to normal. Holding the hilt of Ton-Lin's blade. the chi began to slow as it was flowing through him
