Captain America: The First Avenger

I saw Captain America over the weekend and because I talked about X-Men First Class and the went over well I thought I should review Captain America. I have not reviewed Thor but if you would like to know my thoughts on it just post in the comments and I'll review it. Captain America is apart of the series of Super Hero movies that are leading up to the team-up movie The Avengers. This all started with Iron Man and has continued to impress me as the years went on.

Nigel walked out from the Time Chamber, he had been in it for two days and he had aged two years. His hair had grown exponentially since he had entered the chamber. The hair tie he had broken a few “months” back and all of his long black hair flowed around in the mid-morning breeze. Some of his hair even covered the top scars he had on his face since he was a child but his hair didn’t cover the lower part of his face. His black stubble covered those two scars than ran down from his eye lids to his jaw line.

His blue Karategi was torn and his chest was exposed but thankfully his pants stayed intact, to be truthful he always carried extra pants with him. He began to stretch as he walked out and Mark followed him. His hair had gotten long and curly and he flew off with a wave, yelling something about getting a haircut. Nigel laughed and waved, he felt so strong he had to make sure to watch himself; he may destroy something with this new found power.

He walked out a few more feet and he looked up to the clear blue sky and the sun warmed his face, he was glad to be away from the fluctuating temperatures and gravities of the Time Chamber. Terra was beautiful and anytime he had to leave even for two (years) days he missed it. He had heard stories from his grandfather about this planet Earth with its seven moons and he always wished he could have gone to see it but it is gone. He took of his tattered shirt, ripped off some of it and tied up his mae of black hair. He would cut it, eventually.

Behind the young man in the sky an object had broken through the atmosphere of Terra and was careening to the ground at a wicked speed. The object had caught ablaze almost instantly as it breached the planet’s atmosphere and the tail of smoke was thick obsidian. The sound it made as it flew over the Lookout was horrendous and it made Nigel jump to the ground; believing the object was about to crush him. He quickly looked up with his hands over his ears and his eyes follow the trajectory of the object as it crashes onto Terra.

The object finally crashes into the planet a few miles from the Lookout but before it had crashed Nigel was already flying towards it. His eyes had gotten use to the air flying into them as a child when a thick coating had enveloped them with the help of his inner Chi. He could reach speeds of a ar and sometimes even faster as he forced his Chi to push his body through the skies of Terra. That is what he did, he forced more Chi out of his body but pulled himself back as the object smashes into the ground and begins its skid to a halt.

It tears down trees and even uproots a few of them as it gashes the ground like it was a knife cutting into soft bread. The mounds of dirt soon cover the ship and swiftly the fire goes out. The obelisk of black smoke flows up from the now stopped ship and he floats down close to it. Nigel has always been inquisitive and always enjoys making new friends. If the being in the ship is a threat to the planet then Nigel has arrived on time to stop the treat, either way it’s a win-win situation.

He ran around the ship a few times before the smoke had cleared and once it had he noticed the door had opened but he hadn’t seen what was in the ship. He quickly ran to the hatch to see if he could see anyone or anything but he saw nothing. No way is the ship empty, he thought to himself. He turned around and was not fast enough to dodge the body of the alien. He felt a small weight and he fell to the ground not because he couldn’t hold up the alien but because he hadn’t expected to be jumped on.

The tip of a sword gently pushes against his throat near the jugular; his breathing slows down so he doesn’t get the tip any closer to his throat. The woman atop him would have been beautiful had she not had a blade to his neck and a look of pure and utter rage upon her face. Her teeth were barred like a wild animal and she even growled like one. When she spoke he could not understand one thing she was saying and he hoped to himself that he wouldn’t piss himself.

Late to the Party: Rock Band 3

I'm trying something different on this Late to the Party, I've reviewed shows and movies but now I'm going to talk about a game. If you want a real Games Journalist view point there are plenty of Video Game sites and blogs. This is just a view point, I have not been paid by anyone to do this but would gladly cash any checks that are sent my way. So now that that is out of the way; it's time we jump into Rock Band 3.

Late to the Party: Sucker Punch

If you have seen any images or the trailers for Sucker Punch you may think it looks bad ass. It is a movie from Zack Snyder; he did 300 and Watchman. I thought Watchman was amazing but that was because it was close to the source material and the source was bad ass. This is an original concept written by Zack Snyder and Steve Shibuya. They tried to make the next Inception and they failed, now the movie has great fight scenes cool CGI but it lacks an interesting plot, compelling characters and it has some god awful dialogue.

The basic plot is that a young abused girl is institutionalization by her step father after she accidentally kills her younger sister. While she is locked away she is lobotomized but before that happens we enter into her subconscious as she is brought to a brothel.  She is determined to escape the brothel with her new friends and she uses her magic dance moves to hypnotize people. When she does said dance we get to the good parts of the movie. The fantasy action set pieces that are truly the only good part of the hot mess.

Warning Spoilers Ahead!!!
